Chinese Off-year customs 小年风俗

小年 is the festival on the 23rd or 24th of the last month of the lunar year. And it`s 小年 today.

小年 is the prelude of the Spring Festival. This day is known as “迎春日(yíng chūn rì) early spring day” among the folk people. There are also many traditional customs, such as sweeping dust, writing couplets, cutting paper for window decoration, bathing, and holding marriage ceremony and etc.
